Calculation Software based on the German VDI Waermeatlas 11th edition
LV Heat Atlas (11th edition)
Software based on the calculation sheets for heat transfer and pressure drop
The VDI Waermeatlas (Heat Atlas) is one of the most important established books in matters of heat transfer.
Lauterbach Verfahrenstechnik has put these basics into program modules according to the chapters of the VDI Waermeatlas. Several wishes of long term users of the Atlas have been integrated. The program runs under Windows 7 and 8 / 32 and 64 bit.
The first German edition was published in 1956 by VDI Verlag.
The VDI-Wärmeatlas, the standard reference for calculation of heat transfer, physical properties and solving hydrodynamical problems in Europe is now available as 11th edition. Many different authors from research institutions and industrial companies have worked on this book.
"The VDI-Waermeatlas or VDI Heat Atlas has a long-lasting history and it can be considered as a standard book for heat exchanger and process engineering equipment design. It is not conceived as a textbook presenting an overall view of the theoretical or experimental findings in heat transfer sciences. The aim was and is to present and explain the state of the art of engineering methods to solve industrially relevant heat transfer problems for apparatus design and process modeling. The first German edition was published in 1963. The sixth German edition was translated into English to meet the demands of the more and more internationally acting industry. This first English edition was published in 1992. Since then, the German edition was regularly updated until the tenth edition published in 2006."(...Professor Dr.-Ing. Peter Stephan, Editor-in-Chief May 2010)
The English version (2nd edition) is available as printed book and online reference. You may purchase this part at Lauterbach Verfahrenstechnik as well.
Features of the LV Software based on the VDI Heat Atlas
The modular ATLAS program system simplifies a practical usage of the chapters and their combinations to solve complex problems. Every chapter of the Heat Atlas is a software module.
The calculation programs can be used to solve your individual problem and can be supplemented with your own equations. Each chapter is presented in a different program module, corresponding variables are correlated by a simple drag and drop with the mouse.
The English version of the LV Heat Atlas Calculation Software is based on the German 11th edition text part!
Advantages of the calculation software:
All chapters have been renamed and some were restructured. The latest research results were implemented.
